reimbursement for dual credit

Date: Mon, 2 Apr 2012 09:10:27 -0500

Subject: reimbursement for dual credit

Just wanted you all to be aware of the new criteria required for dual credit reimbursements: basically, in addition to passing and showing proof of
payment, students have to apply for financial aid/scholarships through Del Mar College. This is what I have put on Dual Credit Information Flyers
going out in the meetings this week:

Fee Reimbursemnts

Port Aransas High School will reimburse half of dual credit fees for students who apply for financial aid/scholarships through Del Mar College and
complete and pass a dual credit course earning both high school and college credit. The application for financial aid/scholarships is located on
the Del Mar College website; the deadline is April 30. An outreach specialist will be at the high school to assist students with the application
Tuesday, April 10, in Ms. Sonnier~Rs computer lab from 2:30-3:45. Students will be asked to show final grade reports, payment receipts, and proof
of applying for financial aid/scholarships. No reimbursements will be allowed without all three.

Just fyi and so you can help spread the word.

Oversight and Government Reform Congressional Hearing

My name is Christopher Lawrence, Special Projects with Congressman Blake Farenthold’s office.I am contacting all the High Schools in the 27th Congressional District-Texas to inform you of an Oversight and Government Reform Congressional Hearing that will be held here in Corpus Christi,
Monday, February 13, 2012 from 9am to 12pm at the Performing Arts Center on the campus of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and will be FREE to attend.

The topic will be dealing with Oil & Gas/Energy and being that this is the largest industry in South Texas, this would be a great opportunity for Government, History and/or Economic students and anyone in general that is interested to attend. I would ask that you please forward this to the appropriate teachers/professors to see if they would be interested in having their students attend a Congressional Hearing.

Thanks Abigail:

We are starting GOVT 2301.772 today. Do the students all have user names and passwords already or is that something I should manage from my end here?
Thanks.

Sincerely,
Leif Johnson
